Achtung! The OCA Saturday Road Ride is getting a serious upgrade. The start location is moving to the Puritan Brew Co. Why? Because you can get a “cup of Joe” to jump start your ride or a “recovery” beverage and some chow after the ride. Because you can park in their lot (west side). Because you can use their bathroom instead of going behind the dumpster. Because they have The Stretchy Pants Discount $1 off on coffee and 10% off on beer & food. Dang! Does it get any better? Yup. Achtung! The OCA MTB Ride Sponsored by Newell Development is in the works. We are looking at the next two weekends as possible ride dates. It will involve you riding your MTB and being awesome. We will tackle Slaughter Pen & Blowing Springs then have lunch and “recovery” beverages at a Bentonville eatery compliments of Newell Development. Stay tuned…details coming soon.

Achtung! The OCA Saturday Road Ride is going on a field trip to Bentonville. Anyone else in the bunch ready for a new road route?! Jared H of Bentonville Racing is working on one for us. We will join the B’ville crew for a little Missouri road adventure. We are looking at Saturday June 27th for this ride. It is going to rock!

SATURDAY

Fayetteville
OCA Road Ride. Wheels Hot @ 8:15 from Puritan Brew Co. It’s time to suffer a bit. We will tackle the Hell’s Kitchen Loop, then maybe The Wall or do I dare throw in the CR 29 extension. Ouch! About 50 miles. 3 hours of saddle love. No water available on this route until Westfork so bring that extra bottle. Advanced ride, pace spirited with a couple regroups (no drop within reason). Please check the OCA Facebook page for start time changes due to inclement weather.

Springdale
OzarkVelo Ride. Leaves @ 8 am from Arvest Ballpark in Springdale. This route covers a bunch of known territory, plus a couple of new sections to connect Bellview Road back to Wagon Wheel. Tower Hill is the only rated climb. Dean LaGrone is the ride leader and the expected average pace is 15-18 mph. Note this is a drop ride and all riders are expected to know the route should they disconnect with the group (we will all be together through the new part). If anyone needs an early bailout, you can turn home off Arbor Acres at Harmon Road and make this a shorter 33 mile ride. Click here for route details.

BMC Road Ride. Leaves @ 8 am from the Bentonville Square. Usually 55-65 miles. Fast with regrouping. Advanced ride.

Girls Bike Bentonville All Girls Road Ride. Time and distance varies depending on season. Follow Bike Bentonville on Facebook for weekly ride updates!
