It’s Tuesday. It’s sorta short. It’s sorta news. ACHTUNG! New ride alert. Girls Bike Fayetteville has officially launched and the first ride was last night. Looks like Monday’s @ 6 pm for starters. Scroll down to group rides for details. Come on out ladies! Click here to visit the Facebook page.
Oh my! The TdF is blowing up and the images coming from Holland are truly amazing. It is a cruel sport at times. You gotta see the crash footage of course. WARNING! It is bad. I mean really bad. Be sure to check out the mechanics cam below. But the finish of stage 3 is excellent.
Group rides are posted. Go ride NWA!
Stage 1 TdF Orica GreenEDGE
Love these Backstage Pass recaps. The Aussie team can even make a prologue fun and interesting.
Stage 2 TdF Highlights
No need for mountain top finishes to break the race open. Just add, one part wind and one part Etixx-Quick Step. They did everything right…except that last little bit.
Stage 3 TdF Crash
Forget the end result from the stage. Major carnage & unprecedented neutralization. Could this have been avoided?
Stage 3 TdF Crash
Okay, one more perspective & the most telling. It looks & sounds like a war zone (not that I have actually experienced a war zone). Must watch.
Stage 3 TdF Final
Whoa…okay don’t forget the end result. The skinny kid from KenyEngland takes yellow! No doubt he wanted it. American TJV is in the mix. Must watch.
Stage 2 Giro Rosa
American Megan Guarnier takes the pink jersey!
EVENTS
Mt. Magazine Cycling Adventure Day (Saturday July 11th)
It’s a difficult time of year to try and plan/organize anything, but I thought it might be worth a shot to at least toss an idea out. Never ridden the below route and would love some company. My general thought would be something like:
- Group up and pull out of Fayetteville at 7:00 am
- Unload and mount up on the bikes in Ozark by 08:15
- Rough estimate of 6 hours saddle time
- Load back up in Ozark and head out by 2:30
- Arrive back in F’ville around 3:30
Obviously, I’ve left plenty of folks off that might want to join the adventure, so feel free to pass along. The route and proposed schedule can easily be altered as well. If Paris is used as the start/end point, it would cut the ride down to about 56 miles.
