Tuesday Night Worlds | This Fayetteville group ride has existed for 20 years and is cycling tradition in Fayetteville. Leaving @ 5:30 from The Bike Route or @ 6 from the parking lot adjacent to the Life Source building. Spirited pace with two regroups. This is a “try and drop you” race practice kind of ride. ROUTE: Black Oak clockwise. Click here for STRAVA link.
555 TNT Road Ride | This Bentonville group ride meets @ 5:55 from the Bentonville Square. 35-45 mile ride, spirited pace with several regroups. This is a “try and drop you” race practice kind of ride. No whining! ROUTE: Beaver Lake. Click here for STRAVA link.
MTB World Cup #4 Les Gets
The XCO video is not available yet so this is the XCC from Friday. I will swap out the XCO video once it is up. Loana Lecomte (Massi) continues to dominate, winning her 4th XCO World Cup in a row becoming only the second woman to do so and it was fitting that the French woman made history in front of the home crowd. Mathias Flückiger (Thomus RN Swiss Bike) continues his surge in the last two weeks he swept both the Short Track and the XCO. Gaining confidence at the right time with the Olympics just around the corner. Tom Pidcock (Ineos) returned to MTB racing after his injury but crashed in both events and was not really a factor.
Giro d’Italia Donne Stage 3
Living legend Marianne Vos (Jumbo Visma) wins the stage, a mind blowing 29th stage victory at the Giro. She dedicated the win to the passing of Jolien Verschueren who lost her battle with cancer earlier in the week. Anna van der Breggen (Team SD Worx) is still at the top on GC.
Tour de France Stage 9
Wow…..what a week. The TdF has not disappointed. From the come back of Mark Cavendish (Quick Step) to the constant re-shuffling on GC. The super teams destroyed by crashes and bad luck opening the door for some new faces. Australian Ben O’Connor (AG2R Citroën) winning stage 9 is just another great story being written at the TdF. After being out of contract last year and getting a last minute call up from AG2R, he’s now the only person under 5 minutes (2:01) in second place to Tadej Pogacar (UAE).
