This morning we mixed things up a bit. The bunch was hungry for some Ozark gravel. Folks if you haven’t explored gravel riding yet you really should consider it. The route options are seemingly endless and the sense of adventure is high. You won’t be dealing (if at all) with cars as much either. You can ride gravel on your MTB or get a CX/Gravel bike. We tackled the Low Gap Loop this morning about 40 miles and 2,600 gain. This route is a mix of gravel and paved roads. Getty up!

About half gravel specific bikes and half MTB’s.
The Bunch!
That is the sign we are looking for. Sector 1.
The infamous Tilly Willy KOM. We NEVER as a group ride this section slow. N-E-V-E-R!
Then back on pavement for the Wallin Mountain climb. 2+ miles of stair-step goodness. Some awesome views as well.
Finally at the top!
Wallin Mountain to Trace Branch. Sector 2.
Ozarkia.
After hanging a right on WC45 you get this really cool stretch. But it’s really a gradual uphill to the steeper Low Gap climb.
So really you’re climbing for about 5 miles. First gradually then this kicker before climbing some more. About 900 feet gain.
Leaves are starting to pop.
Incredible view of the Ozarks on Mineral Springs Rd.
Backtrack in on Tilly Willy. Again N-E-V-E-R slow. Sector 3.
Only one flat near the end of the ride which was nice.
Gravel brings out the Franken bikes.
What a great way to spend the morning!
Total climbing: 4007 ft
