We had some folks eager to burn a little turkey, ham, mashed taters, gravy, rolls, pumpkin pie, stuffing, green bean casserole…you get the picture. Enjoyed the warmer temps but the wind was gnarly today. 20+ SSW. That kind of wind always adds a little bit of stress to the ride. You need to trust the folks you are riding with and you need to stay focused. No falling asleep at the wheel handlebar. We did what I call the Goshen Loop (short course). About 50 miles of rolling Ozark terrain. 3,500 ft gain. I definitely felt like I rode my bike at the end physically and mentally. It was too dangerous to take a bunch of photos but I managed a few. Have you checked out the Routes section on this site yet? I am still building the portfolio but there should be a full selection of routes very soon. You will find a turn by turn description along with a link to the STRAVA map of the route. Click here to view Routes. You can also follow me on STRAVA to access My Routes. New bike alert. Cervelo R5. I wasn’t a fan of this paint scheme on paper. But in person it’s pretty sick. I like the blacked out bottles, nice touch.
New bike alert. Cervelo S5 = speed.
New bike alerrr…This gentlemen flagged us down. He wanted to show us his unicycle. Super nice guy. Probably should have asked him to ride it. Which brings up a good point. In general, I have had way more good experiences with motorists than bad.
Blue Springs Rd. was paved earlier this year. Buttery smooth goodness. It’s a great road, unfortunately you have to ride on 412 for a mile or so to get to it.
At the gas station stop in Goshen I noticed this tricky little saddle bag.
Art H said his legs rubbed the old one. So he found this and it seems to work well. Looks sleek. I wonder who makes it?
Humming Bird Rd. climb. The last one…finally.
Wyman road is great. Very little traffic, smooth as can be…
twisty turny…makes for great photoging. I encourage you to check it out for yourself.
Okay last one. Great route & good times.
A closer look at Art H’s bike.
Erase the flat pedals from your mental picture. Sub 14 without pedals. Dang!
