With some late night text message hazing I managed to persuade Gustavo G & Heath B to ride in the cold temps early Thanksgiving morning. Okay actually I didn’t have to twist any arms legs. We hooked up with Mitchell P and a couple other fellas. Lately I have been intrigued by Mt. Kessler. I totally get why there was a big effort to save it. If you are a first timer at Kessler I encourage you to roll with someone who knows the trails. Although they are well marked the first few times can be confusing. There are so many ways to ride it and so many interesting features. It’s not just for mountain bikers. We saw folks running and hiking as well. Get out and explore your trails Arkansas!
We followed the Wino trail to this old structure. Winery? Bridge? Tastings begin at high noon. Check out the history of Kessler below.
Gustavo G and group rides next to a rock feature known as the Spine.
Heath B takes the easier line…
Too much fun. There are features like this all over the mountain.
Major junctions are well marked.
This is pretty awesome but I am a history geek. Click here to find out more about Mt. Kessler.
