I haven’t bonked liked that in a long time. And to add to the suffering I forgot to turn STRAVA back on. So this ride pretty much never happened. This morning we the bunch tackled Black Oak Loop with the Crawl Hill Extension. About 52 miles with 2400 gain. Crawl Hill is the real feature on this route. The climbing really begins around mile 19. About 2 miles with 680 feet gain with a ramp that is surely above 20%. I was not feeling it from the get go. No power in the legs. I am testing out some new shoes which has thrown my pedal stroke off but I think it might of been the humidity or just not eating right. Whatever the reason it is what it is. I managed to limp home with a couple other guys but had to cut off the Crawl Hill Extension. Just a reminder stay hydrated folks and choose routes with water options. Thanks to Puritan Brew Co. for hosting us.

The bunch.
Just after the first climb of the day.
The Bentonville crew rode down. Impressive. 100 mile day for them.
At this point not even 10 miles in I was in damage control.
I slammed a Coke mini & CLIF Organic Energy Food pouch but the bonk was on and not going away. I still got some miles in just much slower than usual.
