2018 Arkansas Race Report #1 Sager Creek Trail, Siloam Springs
Arkansas NICA kicked off our 3rd season September 9, 2018 in Siloam Springs on the campus of John Brown University!
We are so thankful and proud to be a part of this Arkansas NICA community. Setup on Saturday was extremely fast and smooth because we had so many volunteers come help! And we heard over and over again how supportive our community is, how everyone cheers for everyone, and how much fun the student-athletes had!
Early-week forecasts predicted large amounts of rain, but the weather ended up being cool with a little mist for the first race – almost ideal conditions except for some slick roots on the trail.

Middle School Boys Wave
Middle School boys have our two largest fields in the league! These groups went off like a stampede when the wave started! Conway Composite and Oklahoma Flyers dominated the 8th grade boys podium, with Austin Traywick on top. Finn Parker, now riding on the new team in his hometown, Hot Springs Thoroughbreds, won the largest category in the League – 7th grade boys. Ryan Drummond topped the podium for the 6th grade, and Tymothy Clark finished second with only one shoe one!

New Arkansas NICA Partner – Livsn
LIVSN creates durable outdoor clothing for people who value experiences more than stuff. We design outdoor clothing that actually fits and looks just as good on the street as it does on the trail. We want to buy less, take care of what we own, and spend more time outside.
We’re launching our Kickstarter campaign on Thursday, 9/13. We need as much local support as possible on that day to get out of the gate with momentum. Help us reach our goal and get enough orders to go into full production!
We’ll be donating a percentage of this years revenues directly to the Arkansas NICA organization!
