Congrats Randall M. You have won a $100 gift card to The Bike Route! Thanks everyone for stopping by. A special thanks to The Bike Route. Randall your gift card will be at TBR Monday afternoon. Check back next week. Another killer giveaway is on tap.
So here we go…
I have fielded a ton of questions this past year through my blog Wheels Hot Fayetteville. From experienced cyclists traveling here to ride, all the way to the newbie trying to find a safe route that meets their level. I am always available for your questions because I love this stuff!
What gets me excited is that connection. Like when someone from Austin, TX is in town and shows up to the Saturday ride. They found the website, uploaded the route, and get to experience the Ozarks. Or an email from a new cyclist leads to their first group ride leaving them wanting more. I love promoting cycling and I love the places we ride. That is where OCA comes from. It just so happens that a few others in the area feel the same and they’re coming on board as sponsors. You will see a couple of their logos at the top right corner; more to come on them and other sponsors.
For now – enjoy. It’s our hope that you will find OCA a valuable resource for cycling in NWA. If something is missing that would make this an even better resource let me know. Enough already! To the TBR Giveaway!

Like the new venture, Rob. I’ve shared your blog with a few out-of-towners and most recently with a guy from Michigan (he was selling a bike I was interested in) who told me his buddies were looking to come down here next year to mountain bike. He told me he’s heard from more than one person how great the riding here is. I think the new venture will be a great avenue for people like him wanting to take a cycling vacation to this secret treasure we all get to enjoy on a daily basis.
I vote for $100 worth of Clif Bars from the Bike Route!
Dude –
Super proud of you. This is going to be awesome. Excited for what’s to come and to see Ozark Cycling Adventures turn into something that is an awesome resource for the community in NWA.
I’m excited to see the growth of cycling in NWA during my sort time up here. I’m also excited to see that the community has friendly and knowledgeable people to help promote it. Can’t wait to see the growth this new adventure will provide for NWA Cycling and for you yourself.
Cool developments you’ve got going on here Rob! When I started getting more into the road cycling thing your website was (and is) a tremendous resource. Thanks for answering the ‘newb’ emails here and there over the last spring and summer! Best of luck with the website and OCA ventures, but I’m sure they’ll stick.
Thanks for all you do to promote cycling in our area
Congratulations on officially launching your new business. Wheelshot has been a huge success and an awesome resource. We in the cycling community are fortunate to have you sharing your passion with us.

Congratulations on the new venture.
Nice job, Rob. Looking forward to the bike tours and the new site looks great. Having a local cycling blog that is consistently updated with accurate and relevant information is an awesome resource. I would probably still be doing 100% solo rides without it, so thanks!
Thrown over from the Wheels Hot Link. Cool new site man. Best of luck on the new venture.
This would have been invaluable to me when I first started riding. Good stuff.
Fantastic! I share this site with so many people (even making some of my California buddies jealous of the riding around here!). Looks very slick on the new platform too. Well done Rob and keep it coming!
Hey Rob, the new site looks great and the logo is super PRO. This is awesome, and I’m excited to see all the new things coming.
Nice Upgrade Rob.
Love it!
Good luck with the new site and venture. “Sharkin’ your way up kid.”
Great stuff! Love to see so much growth in the area.
The WHF blog has been a great way for an out of towner, as myself, to stay posted on what is going on in the area. I am looking forward to OCA blog covering the region! Thanks!
I love all that you have done to promote cycling in this area! Keep it up and we will grow this sport like crazy (Hopefully continuing to add women!)
Thanks Lindsay! We are definitely focused on more women riders for next year.
Rob, good work on the new site. Your site is a real asset to the NWA cycling community.

I’m excited about the new project! The trial run that you posted about looks like the makings of an epic cycling weekend. It made me want to do it even though I live here (kinda).
Also, I love Clif Bars and want to try the pumpkin ones. I bet they’d be good after warming up in an inside pocket for an hour or so……….
