Giordana leg warmers. Keeps the legs warm, but you don’t overheat as you can with insulated bib knickers. Of course you can’t forget the Smartwool skull cap…lightweight, but regulates the temp just right.

Just like free beer and lunch, free clothing would be a nice upgrade. Baselayers, arm warmers, leg warmers, shoe covers, skull cap, sunglasses, hot cocoa, merino wool socks, gloves, jacket. Below 40 degrees, stay home, turn the heater on and watch a cycling movie.
LOL G, that was good stuff. You must be from some place warm like Columbia. Thanks for the comment.
Yes! Hopefully we won’t need it so much this winter! Thanks for commenting.

I’m going with Balaclava. Keeping my face warm and neck is critical. Plus I like how it doubles to hide my identity if I need to knock off a bank on my way home from the rides in Fay.

A silk balaclava.

friends that keep me motivated to get out in the cold
Now we are talking! Accountability. Good one. Thanks for the comment.
does commitment to go out and ride when mother nature is gnarly count? kind of takes the full ensemble: your rides only as comfortable as your weakest link. getting overheated then cold sweat is the worst, so i say a good moisture&wind proof jacket. right gloves and covers to save the toes are tied for a close second
Absolutely! State of mind counts. Thanks for the comment.
A fanny pack. Not only does it look sweet, but you can keep all of your stuff in it. It’s a win win really.
