We are super excited about our Shred The Ozarks shirts! This design was inspired by the challenging chunky technical singletrack found at Mt. Kessler Trails.
It was a fantastically fun process bringing this image to life; originally a photo I took on a fall ride with a bunch of good dudes. Heath Banning is the rider atop the infamous Spine. One of the most fun loving, fearless and skilled mountain bikers I know. The shirts were printed right here in NWA with one of our partners in crime Creative! I was also really excited to partner with local artist Johnathan Harris who enjoyed the challenge of doing something a little different from what he is use to painting. He did a great job translating the image with his brushes! I am particularly proud of the fact that during this process he was inspired to pick up his mountain bike and started riding again!
“Creating artwork is my passion, a refuge from the modern world, a time for me to reflect and express, an absolute necessity for me to feel complete. Very early in my life, I discovered my passion for art. After visiting the American Southwest at a young age, the beauty and charm of this regions landscape captivated me and soon became the subject matter for my paintings. ” – Johnathan Harris
Here is a great example of Johnathan’s work, a piece he calls Ascension.
