CLIF BAR ENERGY GRANOLA | PRODUCT REVIEW & GIVEAWAY!
We are super stoked about CLIF Bar’s new Energy Granola. They already have a great history of making delicious food products for all types of outdoor adventures. It’s organic, gluten free and packs in more protein than other granola’s! You can find Energy Granola on the shelves at Walmart in the cereal aisle.
We also love that CLIF Bar has been supporting our local cycling community for many years. Organizations and events like NICA, Square 2 Square, Bike Fest U of A, Breakaway Cycling Team, Dickson Street Cycling Club, Triple Threat Racing, WalStreet Bike & Brew, Joe Martin Stage Race to name a few. But hold up! Lets get to the granola!
There are four delicious flavors. And I M-E-A-N delicious!
This was our favorite! Awesome chunky clusters of goodness. And whole almonds!
One of the most loved flavors from CLIF. So if you love the bar your gonna definitely love it in Energy Granola!
Your pre-ride breakfast, or during ride snack (put some in a baggy). Heck have a bowl after your ride!
Your gonna want to take the desired amount you want to eat then have someone hide the bag because it’s gonna be hard to stop eating this stuff.

The Rules
The winner(s) will be randomly selected.
The winner will be announced in a couple days.
Must be in the continental US (for mailing purposes)
typically a granola bar, some gu and an occasional snickers
usually carry a Clif Bar and Gu in my jersey pockets. Sometimes topped off with M&Ms at the gas station 😉
I always carry with me a number of cliff bloks. Those things are amazing! If it’s a longer ride, then I stop by the store and grab a king size payday (or two). I usually try to grab a can of coke when I make pit stops.
Cliff shot blocks and bonkbreakers!
I recently converted to Tailwind drink mix because you can get a couple hundred calories per bottle and I struggle to eat enough on longer rides. I subsequently went into a Clif product buying drought but these bagged granolas are going to jump into my grocery cart.
Eat cliff bars or Kimd bars.
Almond butter & honey sandwich cut into fourths.
Before the ride, I make sure to eat a banana. During the ride, I take gels, usually one for each hour of the ride.
I love NWA and Clif!
Shot bloks are great during a race, and Clif bars are great any time (especially Sierra Trail Mix with coffee – yum!)
Cliff shot bloks, skratch chews and bananas!
I have a pre ride shake full of fruit and whey. During my ride I go crazy on Cliff Bloks. You can eat too many. I know I did it one day.
Stroopwafels, Clif bars, and Clif gels!
Pre-ride, a good couple of bites of a hearty chocolate, especially if it’s late afternoon. Mid-ride, a handful or two of rich mixed nuts (salted) and post ride, Bike Rack Brewing Co. beers!
Cliff shots, scratch chews, stroop waffles, sometimes some chocolate energy chews
I’ve been on a Hazelnut Snickers kick for long rides. The margarita clif bloks are my favorite for quick energy.
Chocolate Spiz w/ extra salt is my go-to fluid/fuel, but occasionally bring along one or more of these: Clif Blocks, homemade rice cakes a la Alan Lim/Feed Zone Cookbook, and almond butter w/ honey on English muffin. And sometimes, there’s nothing like a fizzy coke for a late-ride Coca Cola Revival.
I sprinkle Cliff granola behind me, just in case I get lost in the woods.
Granola and Greek yogurt before the ride and an energy bar whilst on the road
The first 2 ingredients to feed a great adventure are a great location and friends to share the ride. I like the traditional Clif bar -anything with chocolate and for a quick burst of energy when I feel shot; a bloks energy chew.
Granola bars typically.
Granola bar and BCAA drink mix!
Salted Watermelon Clif Bloks for training rides, add in Orange flavored Bloks with caffeine for races.
Clif bloks, bananas & roadkill if it is reasonably fresh.
Betty Lou’s or Cliff Bar before.
I typically don’t bring a snack which is probably not great. I do however bring plenty of water and usually have some kind of protein post ride.
I ride with whatever semi-nutritious, energy/dense snack foods I can fit in my pockets. I usually race with CLIF products (shots, blocks, bars). Sometimes, I make my own rice cakes or those extra long races and rides.
I usually start with a bar a clif bar by the way, between the ride a gel and if the ride is longer another bar to keep me going.
Typically my Go To energy for mountain biking. Quick and easy and tasty. Looking forward to trying this for first thing in the morning
Stroopwaffles, Clif bars, Hammer gels, PayDay candy bar. Prefer to change it up ride to ride. Long casual rides may pack Peanut Butter and Honey sandwich. On rare occassions the wife makes homemade granola bars.
banana, granola bars, and Tanka bars.
