I love the roads of the Ozarks and the beautiful views once you get to the top of a long hill.
Riding in the Ozarks is simply amazing!! The bike community is here can’t be beat!! I have met so many amazing people while riding, so that would have to be my favorite part of biking here.
It’s hard to beat our Ozarks scenery, whether riding on the road, paved trails, or single track!
I love the views and the people. It’s a community thing.
What’s not to love about riding in the Ozarks, whether it be on the dirt, or on the road. An area for all seasons, with great scenery, awesome roads and spectacular trails.
I simply love riding in the Ozarks, because when I ride here, I have a tremendous amount of pride knowing we live in one of the best cycling areas in the entire country! It’s a special place will make you realize that it’s valuable to ‘seize the moment, seize the day’.
But another thing I love about riding in the Ozarks, is seeing how the cycling scene and community have developed and progressed over the years. I think there has always been a vibrant cycling scene in the Ozarks, but it’s been incredible to watch how the scene has been pushed in to the national spotlight. And thanks OCA for being part of that ‘spotlight’!
I’d say my favorite thing about riding on the Ozarks are those sweet OCA jerseys I see occasionally…oh wait did you say “chosen randomly”? Then I guess it is the scenery and stuff.
Riding in the Ozarks inspire me to try harder on hills; to go one bit further, a little bit faster…to breath and let my eyes soak in the beauty.
killer backroads, gravel and mountain bike trails. we’ve got it all here in the ozarks
Riding in the Ozarks you are accompanied by scenic views, and where else can you ride in all 4 seasons in one day?!
I miss the rolling hills on Saturday’s and then the Sunday Greenway brewery recovery rides
Quiet country roads and a great cycling community!
My favorite thing has to be all the different options you’ve got when the mood to ride strikes!
Whether that’s one of a million road routes or one of the many amazing MTB trails we have around!
I love the views and the options to ride paved trail, gravel and single track all from one location!
I love the soul-restoring quality of a ride in the Ozarks, regardless whether it’s from the rope of a road, gravel, or mountain bike. The Hills are Alive With the Sound of Bicycles!
4 seasons but mild winters in beautiful hilly country, plus great cycling community and infrastructure.
There’s so many quality riding options here – road, gravel, trail. And there’s an amazing cycling community wrapped around it all that make it more than a hobby or sport, but a lifestyle.
Riding in the Ozarks is unlike anywhere else on earth. Personally, it allows me to shut off the noise and remember what is truly important in life. It’s therapy! Getting lost on the Back 40, taking a lunch break ride at Slaughter Pen, or riding a back road to nowhere is a weekend activity here in the Ozarks.
Bombing down through the Artist Point area when the trees have begun to change in autumn!
I’ve been fortunate enough to ride in a few other areas, I personally really like the ability to get out of the “city” and enjoy the rural areas.
I love the riding but it’s definitely the friendships that I have been able to develop because of riding that really makes the Ozarks stand out from any other community in the world. The people who have donated not money but their time to make the Ozarks an even better community!
Never seen anything like it! Truely epic trails. I will be returning with my family as much as possible over the years!
I love being able to ride my mountain bike from my front door to amazing trail systems. I love the camaraderie of group rides in the area – it’s what kept me coming back and learning the ropes when I was still new to group riding. And it’s what invites me back every time I head out on a group ride. Thanks Rob for the work you do for the cycling community. Your contribution does not go unnoticed, nor unappreciated. Your site is always my first referral for visitors to the area or NWA riders new to cycling.
Need we say more than the new mountain biking Mecca right in our own back yard? Trails and back roads for road riding and touring around with your friends. Great. Cycling. Community.
I like riding in the Ozarks because nothing beats the scenery and exploring the backroads. Plus, who doesn’t like to climb hills?
Love the climbs and the reward that comes after!
Jeff
I love riding HWY 71 and it is better when you have a nice tailwind heading South.
Everything
I love the cycling community in the Ozarks. It is super easy to get involved with fun groups on the amazing trails we have. The NICA league is also super great for high school.
I love the hills! Riding up “Hell’s Kitchen” is the only time I’ve ever seen someone get off their bike to walk up a hill during a race.
I love riding in the Ozarks. The varying terrain, the scenery, the seasons. Theres something for everyone.
Tons of great options on the road and off.
My love for cycling all started in the beautiful Ozarks. From the rolling hills (challenging but I LOVE it) to the stunning scenery, you just truly can’t beat it. I’ve never found a place I love riding more than in the Ozarks, and I’m so happy that they led me to cycling. My life will never be the same!!
There’s no other place on Earth like the Ozarks!!!
The hills!
I may be biased as I’ve lived here almost my whole life but riding here in the Ozarks is magical. Every season there’s something to look forward to and for my family and I that’s biking. Between my husband, three kids and I we are conquering the trails. And to be truthful the majority of our time biking is at the Pea ridge military park. We have promised ourselves that we will start trying new trails this year though!
The PEOPLE!
The camaraderie! The friends! The pushing to go harder and be better than the last time. This is what I love about mountain biking here in the Ozarks.
The hills. I am training for the AIDS/LifeCycle ride in California next month, and it was great training to do the Joe Martin gran fondo in Fayetteville. (Looking at you, Hell’s Kitchen.) Would love to win this jersey and rep the OZARKS on my ride! Congrats on the milestone! Keep it up!
Mountain biking in the Ozarks must be heaven on earth. Tough climbs, gorgeous scenery, hidden creeks. Trail therapy is the best therapy.
The Ozark Region provides a variety of terrain, seasons, colors, topography, flora and fauna, streams, lakes, springs, and lots of tress. It is so much different from the West where I first started cycling in the early 80s…actually I never quit riding after I learned at age 5, so I’ve had an infatuation with bikes since the mid 70s!! This place (NWA especially) is also developing a great cycling culture. More friendly people and places to ride can only help us all.
Beautiful landscapes combined with perfect weather and great people
I love that I can ride a couple miles and boom, I’m on a nice paved country roads with everything from flats to hard hills.
Beautiful countryside and the best people!
Can’t beat the gravel. Serene and challenging at the same time, love it.
I love the fact that once you’re on the bike, the Ozarks make the pain in your legs hurt a little less. The views make up for it.
I took a bicycling vacation in the Ozarks… 16 months later and I am living here to enjoy this wonderful gift from God every day.
No where else compares to the Ozarks! The roads are absolutely amazing, which include weaving through cows and horses or spinning up and down rolling hills waterside, and the trails are profound. Huge thanks to all who make the effort to maintain and build our world class trails!!
My favorite things about riding in the Ozarks are the people I’ve met, the views from the top of the hills, and the downhills.
I love the diversity of riding options… singletrack , pavement and now increasingly adventurous gravel routes make for a difficult choice whenever I get the chance to ride.
I love how Bentonville is becoming a biking mecca
Never been to the ozarks but I hope to get there one day soon. I hear great things.
I met a very nice cyclist on Tuesday sporting this very jersey at the BFF setup.
Cycling in the Ozarks is so chock full of good people, beautiful views and the cycling community is strong!
The passion people of NWA have for cycling. It’s contagious and continues to grow. That’s where it starts.
My riding buddies and the scenery
The variety in trails!!
I love riding your trails that I know will be well groomed, a good challenge, and give plenty of Ozark scenery!
I love the versatility the Ozarks has to offer. The scenery and the cycling community are spectacular!
New to NWA as my wife and I arrive from Lincoln, NE, in August 2017. The bike community is what included us immediately with open arms. It truly is amazing here how inclusive everyone is, while challenging you at every mile. Everyday our friends back home are jealous at the OCA posts I share (now follow OCA!) and can’t wait to come down to visit, hit a few group rides, socialize, and head back home to attempt to copy what you all have worked so hard to create here. Cheers to you all!
I love the quiet roads and the huge variety
The community , the roads, the views… best anywhere in the country!
The trails are fantastic! Our entire family drives several miles away to enjoy not only the beautiful, fun trails, but also the welcoming community.
