We are super excited about the growing number of bicycle events in NWA. Riding bikes is quickly becoming synonymous with our way of life in this region! We believe that quality of life improves when there are healthy options available and groups to connect with that are living the active outdoor lifestyle. I know this to be true for me and bike riding. So we are stoked to come alongside a non-profit organization like BikeNWA (formerly Bicycle Coalition of the Ozarks) who have been biking advocates for almost 20 years.
“Founded in 1999 as the Bicycle Coalition of the Ozarks, BikeNWA has been working for nearly two decades to make Northwest Arkansas a more bike-friendly region. We do this in two ways: by supporting and amplifying the work of local bike organizations, and meeting with local elected officials to advocate for better bike infrastructure and bike-friendly policies.” – BikeNWA
On July 7, 8 & 9, BikeNWA in partnership with race director Benjamin Craig, are putting on the Natural State Criterium Series. 3 CRITS, 3 CITIES, 3 DAYS. After lasts years success the race is now on the American Road Calendar (ARC) and we are super excited about the expanded race day in downtown Springdale. These events stoke the flame of the cycling movement in our region. You will see some of the most talented bike racers in the country racing around our downtown’s. Friday night things kick off with a twilight race in downtown Bentonville. Saturday in downtown Rogers and then all day Sunday in Springdale.
These events do require volunteer assistance and we are calling on all the help we can get. Be a part of the cycling movement and sign up today! Click on the image below to find out how you can get involved.
