Chinkapin Hollow | Ozark Gravel Goodness
I’ve always said you are missing out if you aren’t exploring the gravel roads here in the Ozarks. Like many of you I started riding gravel on a mountain bike before it was a thing. Recognizing the potential bike industry shifted gears and started producing all kinds of gravel specific bikes. Larger tire diameters make gravel bikes SO MUCH FUN to ride. We have it good here in Northwest Arkansas with so many options for gravel adventures. Do you ever find yourself on Google Earth playing with all the route possibilities? Yup, me too!
The newest gravel event to come the region is the Chinkapin Hollow Gravel Grinder on October 25th which is normally around peak foliage. It will make for a stunning back drop to an epic adventure. With route options of 45, 66 and 107 miles there’s a good mix for many skill levels. The longest route will run all the way into eastern Oklahoma. We are excited about this event! We also want to thank Experience Fayetteville for supporting the event as well. So come on out and ride! See you there! Click on the event flyer below for details.
If you are planning to travel to the area for the event we recommend you check out Mt. Sequoyah Retreat overlooking downtown Fayetteville. The facility allows you to spread out. Has dining options and is close to everything Fayetteville has to offer. Click here for more information.
