Revellion’s short sleeve base layer is the most comfortable apparel I have worn in athletic performance application. While the intended usage of their product line is created for ultra-running, the Revellion short sleeve base layer is also perfect for cycling. Premium comfort and function to go under your winter kit on the coldest training rides.
Here is what we really like. Absolute comfort. Made with superfine merino wool. Incredibly soft and form-fitting. Merino wool is the best for the harshest of winter conditions. Even when damp, wool will continue to keep you warm. One of my biggest issues on cold days is sweat management. When the clothing gets damp from sweat and the cold wind hits you lose the warmth retention function with many other fabrics. But not merino wool. It is so important to have the right base layers and use the right layering system on those long winter rides. If you don’t want to be miserable that is.
“Think of Revellion as the Tesla of wool apparel companies.” – UltraRunning Magazine
Our only hangup. Not cheap. But I have always said when it comes to being comfortable or not comfortable on the bike, especially long winter training rides, spend the extra money to get good equipment. If you are comfortable, you will like it. If you like it, you will continue to do it. Riding my bike outside is what I like. It keeps me sane. Sometimes paying a premium price for a premium product is alright with me.
They do limited runs which sell out quick so you will want to get on the list.
