Arkansas NICA 2018 Leaders’ Summit
Bentonville Community Center, Bentonville, AR 72712
Overview: The Arkansas Leaders’ Summit provides the opportunity to learn about the Arkansas League structure and processes, how to start a mountain bike team, how to work with their schools, issues related to liability, and the unique intricacies of working with high school and middle school cyclists. The primary goal for the Leaders’ Summit is to teach and license adults as competent NICA coaches. The summit is an ideal opportunity for coaches and team organizers to share thoughts and opinions; it is the perfect environment to get charged up for the coming season!

Specific Instructions: For more information on NICA coach licensing requirements, visit www.nationalmtb.org/coaches-license-program – You must attend both days to meet NICA coaching requirements to be a certified coach. We suggest completing the NICA required concussion training and submitting your background check information as soon as possible www.nationalmtb.org/coaches-license-program.
What’s Included? Summit includes lunch and snacks, copies of the NICA Coaches Manual and Teaching Mountain Bike Skills Manual and an opportunity to meet and ride with great individuals who are all interested in working with students. Bring your bike, helmet and riding gear.
