We like to support the local restaurants and breweries after our rides. Some will have Taco Tuesday at San Miguel’s.
Others will enjoy outdoor seating and a beer at Apple Blossom.

Gravel Thursdays are a go! April 6th we will be starting our Thursday rides back up but with a few notable changes. This year we will be riding routes that are primarily gravel with a little road thrown in to get out to the gravel. Rides will be starting from the Highroller location in Fayetteville at 6:15pm. As always helmets will be required we will also be requiring a head light and tail light since there is a good chance we will be finishing in the dark some nights.

For those looking for free parking there are a couple of new free lots at 207 E. Center St. We will be posting the route a day before the ride so folks can check the route out. We will miss all our friends and regulars on our road ride and hope you can join one of the many other road rides going on through the week or come and join us bombing around dirt roads.

Ozark Off Road Cyclists (OORC). Celebrate the long days of summer! Starting April 2nd, on the first and third Thursday of every month through August 20th the OORC will be hosting social rides at Lake Fayetteville from 6-8pm with post-ride libations (including group specials) at the Apple Blossom Brewing Co.! Meet at the parking lot behind Apple Blossom Brewing Co. at 6pm. Ride length and pace will be determined by those in attendance. Hosted by the Ozark Off-Road Cyclists.

Fayetteville Wheelmen Sunday Ride: 

Location:  Columbus House Brewery

Time: 1:30 PM, fun route no drop.

Type: Social, No Drop Multi-pace

Distance: 2-3 hours saddle love

What has now become one of the largest group rides in NWA with 60+ riders often participating in this social ride.  Route determined by 2 preset ride leaders.  2-3 hour saddle love.  Ride conclusion with post ride banter and refreshments at Columbus House Brewery.

Road ride centered around building rider skill and teaching proper riding etiquette. Moderate pace around 17 mph. Usually done by 7:30 (7:45 or 8 later in the summer months). It’s a no drop ride. Not strictly beginner, but more of a “development ride”. Variable routes. Staging is at 5:45 from the Fayetteville Phat Tire location and roll out is at 6PM.

WHAT TO EXPECT?

About 20 miles of challenging single track trail.

About 40 miles total. Be prepared for 4-6 hours of saddle love.

This IS a ride. NOT a race. IT IS AN ADVENTURE!

You are responsible for any mechanical issues you might encounter.

You are responsible for doing your homework on the route & trail systems.

YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR YOUR OWN WELL BEING.

Official ride pit stop Puritan Brew Co. is offering a discount on coffee, food & beer to all participants! They are located on Dickson Street.

The ride will start & end at The Bike Route.

OCA will have food & ‘recovery’ beverages waiting for you. Thanks CORE Brewing Company.

Creative Awards will have a super cool award for those who complete the Triple Crown!

Cost? Free! There will be a tip jar to help offset food & ‘recovery’ beverage costs.

THE 3 RULES

1. You must ride all three trail systems.

• Mt. Kessler (you must ride Serpentine, Egg Beater, Spellbound, Western Myth & Crazy Mary trails)
• Mt. Sequoyah (1 loop, you choose direction, OCA suggests clockwise)
• Lake Fayetteville (1 loop, you choose direction)

2. You must start & stop from the same point (loop) and ride (your bike) to each trail system.

3. You must prove your achievement via STRAVA or other GPS device to receive award.
