Description: This is a great route containing many of the smoothest sections of roads in NWA. I recommend riding it earlier in the morning to avoid airport traffic. Depart from MopedU. Take a right and head North on 71/College. Go ahead and jump into the left lane. At the bottom of the hill take a left onto Trenton Blvd. Take right a the stop sign onto Park Ave and the next left onto Prospect. At the stop sign take right onto Gregg Ave. ACHTUNG! Gregg can be very busy. You may want to take the bike path up to Johnson as an alternative. Remain on Gregg for 4.2 miles and take left on Main Dr. in Johnson. Follow this to the stop light and take left onto to Johnson Mill Blvd. in .5 miles just before James at the Mill take a right onto 48th St. Once you are at the top of the moderate 1 mile climb look for the intersection of Watkins Ave. Take a left onto Watkins Ave. Cross over I49 and hang a right onto 56th St. Take this all the way to 412. Proceed straight through the stoplight at 412. Enter the neighborhood on you left on Francis Fair Prkwy. Take a right onto Tall Oaks Lp. and a right onto Ireland St. Follow this to the stop sign. Tak a right on Har-Ber Ave. In one mile take a left onto Oak Grove Rd. In less than 1 mile take right onto Bob Mills 48th St (it will be at the left hand curve). This section is a fun rolling road with very light traffic. ACHTUNG! A sharp left hand corner that can sneak up on you at the about mile 13. Proceed to the stop sign. Take a right onto 56th St. at the stop sign take left onto Wagon Wheel Rd. at the top of the short punchy climb take a left and remain on Wagon Wheel for about 2 miles. There will be a right turn (that sneaks up on you) onto Fields Ln. Here you will encounter a short punchy climb. At the stop sign take a left onto Brown Rd. proceed to the stop sign. Take a right on Hwy. 112. I recommend stopping at the gas station in Cave Springs for a water and nature break. The gas station in Highfill is now closed. In Cave Springs you will take left onto 264 Healing Springs Rd. ACHTUNG! The next 3 miles can be very busy, as it is one of the main road to the airport. I recommend riding single file until you are past the airport. This 12 mile section is buttery smooth with some fun twisty turny rollers. At the closed gas station in Highfill take a left onto 1st/12. Proceed 1 mile and turn left onto Galey Hollow Rd. The next 7 miles are super scenic with almost no traffic. At the stop sign take a right onto Logan Cave Rd. and a immediate left onto Logan Rd. This will take you to a stop sign at Old Hwy 68. Take a left onto 68 and remain on it for the next 6 miles. You will encounter the gradual 2.2 mile Tower climb, 230 ft gain. At the top take a left onto Liberty Ave. at the left hand curve remain straight on Liberty Ave. You will stay on this for 3.5 miles and take a left onto Bariola. Follow Bariolo/Liberty all the way to the stop sign. Take a right onto Barrington Rd. Follow this to the stop light at Hwy 412. Go straight and remain on Barrington for the next 11 miles. Barrington eventually turn into Wheeler Rd. which turns into Mt. Comfort. At mile 46 you will see a cycling icon in NWA the White Bull. At mile 49 you will encounter Wheeler Hill .7 miles 132 ft gain. Once you go under I49 turn left at the stop light onto the dedicated bike path. Take the bike path back to into town to avoid traffic. When you come to the dead T take a right onto Scull Creek Trail. Follow this to the intersection at Frisco Trail and take a right onto the the Prospect St. Back track your way to MopedU.
